Took Riley to our vet today... no real news to share. He didn't see any signs of fleas, lesions, ringworm, etc. The tests we could run are a fungal culture and a skin scrape to check for mites.
There is a possibility her shedding is from her not eating well until just this week. The hair loss on just the one side on the top of her head is perplexing. She does rub that spot on the bottom of the chair once or twice a day.
So, at this point we are just going to monitor her. If it keeps thinning, we will run the tests. She has an appt in just over a week for her next distemper shot so we'll check again then.
