If you feel that your therapist didn't take it seriously enough, tell her that. She can then tell you why or discuss it with you more seriously. My mom died when she was 32 years old and I was thoroughly convinced I would do the same thing. Well, I'll be 58 next year. Your therapist may be thinking that there is an underlying issue that makes you still dwell on something after all these years. The problem is probably less what happened than whatever causes you to believe it.
