I got a teacup yorkie two weeks ago named Lana. She is one of the most adorable puppies I have seen in my life. She is lively and energetic. I also have a maltese dog named Lili who seems to be a little jealous of Lana (she used to be an only dog for almost a year). They play together well, but often they start figting with each other. I am very concerned because Lana does not seem to show any affection towards any of us. When we try to pet her she runs away. It is impossible to hold her because she simply wiggles out of our arms. People tell me that this is a part of the yorkie character, but I simply cannot accept this. I want her to love us as much as we love her. I don't know if I am unfairly compairing her to Lili who loves to be loved. Will Lana eventually come around and be more affectionate?
Please help a mommy understand her new baby.
