No, you aren't the only one who is paranoid. I used to take my cocker to the groomer regularly, but still haven't found one I like. She came back from one with little razor burns under her belly and I found out that another one drugged her because she was so scared she wouldn't hold still.
I know there are good groomers out there, but for now I groom my dogs myself.
