It's ok to introduce them right now, they may not be that interested if mom is still producing milk. I use Gerber Rice Cereal mixed with Esbilac and a lil Karo Syrup. At room temp then about week 6 I slowly switch to soft foods a puppy food and then add puppy kibbles.
