A friend of ours has adopted 8 kids (all from abused homes) and has 4 that they are fostering right now - YES, that's a lot of kids, but their kids are grown and have their own families and I guess she felt that "pull" to help these kids --- anyway, they found out there was a guy living on their dead end dirt road, so they spent tons of money for a high fence and security gate around their property! She was just so worried because those kids have made great progress from what they had been through before............I guess you can never been too careful - might as well try to do all you can, while you can, I guess. So sad and scary!!! |
Wow that's so wonderful of her and her husband! Very scary that they in particular had someone so close though.
