My mother bless her departed soul, always told me.(If you don't have something good to say about someone or something, don't say anything at all.) My dad on the other hand, was mean & cruel. I still have the tape when I was a child with his voice on it saying, (I don't like you girls at all.) referring to my sister & I. I was 10 at the time & I got a recorder for Christmas. I was playing with it taping the radio songs when he pushed his way in to make that comment. He's been dead for over 20 years & that's how I remember him.
There is no excuse for her saying that about your baby, but I also believe 2 wrongs don't make a right. I would probably say to her, how is it that you can teach children right from wrong with a comment like that. |
