All dogs are great AND go to heaven Because we know our animals so well, we can read them pretty good.
However, without a word, they read us even better.
When I let my two big horses in tonight, Diablo and Ginger, they said a quick hello and I though they'd be on their way to find the boys. Diablo did, Ginger did not.
She stopped. Stopped right in front of me and sat. Looked up at me, then circled around me, sat again, looked up and then as smooth as swan, (and most shepherds are not!) she bowed her head under my hand. She stayed there for a bit, then walked nervously to the door and back. She planted herself next to me again. I hugged her tight and told her we were gonna be ok. She seemed somewhat satisfied. She still wouldn't leave so I had to ask her a few times to go with Ricky. She finally did and went to bed. What a wonderful friend. What a wonderful girl. I will still count my blessings Lord, thank you for each and everyone. |
