When your dog has a food allergy you want to feed it a protein that it is not used to. Feeding a combo of two or three proteins isn't going to help unless they are a combo of proteins like venision, duck, rabbit, buffalo, etc, that they usually don't get in their normal dog food.
So if your pup is itchy i would take her off nutro and start feeding a better quality food like wellness, merricks, or innova. these foods come in different protein varieties that may help with the itching. Also the food i mentioned do not contain corn. all forms of nutro do. corn and wheat have are big allergy causers |
Ok! It sounds like you really know about dog foods. Please explain to me better quality. I'm really getting confused here. I just read on the Nutro Ultra Holistic ingredients and I didn't see any corn listed. Is there some other wording that I am missing? Our local feed & ranch store has all the brands you have suggested as being a better quality food. She suggested for me to try Bil Jac (I think that's what she said) it's frozen. She said to put it on the bottom of the dish and put dry kibble on top. I decided to wait and today I went to Petsmart and got talked into getting the Nutro Ultra. Can you shed some light on this subject? I would really appreciate all advice.
