Howie's almost a year old and he still uses pads indoors. I have one in every major room. I live in an apartment and we live on the 3rd floor with no elevator. When he was a baby I tried taking him outside, but that resulted in him peeing on the steps and me having to clean it up in front of my gawking neighbors.
I don't plan on living in an apartment for too much longer and I'm hoping that when I get a house with a yard I'll be able to work on training him to go outside. But with all that being said I'm not a morning person OR a cold person... sooo I kind of like the pads to save me from being outside at 6am when it's dark and 19 degrees!
