Default Nervous about getting shots after what happened last time

Hannah is due her 4th set of shots. She recieved the first before I got her and recieved the 2nd at the breeders vet the day I bought her. She recieved them that morning and I took her home around 1:00 pm. She seemed to do fine, the breeder had given her benadryl though. Well after 3 weeks I took her to my vet and she got her shots....at 3:00am she woke me up whining, she was so restless, she was running around and whining-crying yelping, she didn't want to be held and she didn't want to be let down. I thought she was going to die. The vet told me that day that the shots would make her feel really bad. I had given her benadyl after her shots. Then that night I gave her some more and she finally went back to sleep, she slept between my husband and I that night and we watched her all night. The next day she just didn't act her normal self, she just layed around and didn't eat much. Is this normal??? Has anyone else went though this? It makes me not want to get the 4th set of shots. I am so scared that something bad might happen this time. I don't think it was an allergic reaction. There was no redness or swelling, but there was a knot on her back for about a week. Should I get the shots or not????
