How old is she? It took Gracie forever to master "down". Now whenever I say "sit" she goes "down", because I trained "down" after "sit". It took Gracie until she was 6 months or so to start getting it, and 7 months before she mastered it. Have you tried training when she is hungry? Don't feed her before puppy class and train her at home just before a meal. Use something extra special only for "down", like a frankfurter or some string cheese, or some peanut butter. Also remember that puppies will do something at home that they won't do at class due to distractions, etc. They don't always generalize from one place to another. Keep persisting, she will eventually get it!
