When I talked to my Vet & found out Piper had this intestinal disease, I was so upset also. Now I look at it as if she had a bad case of the flu. Misha never got this, so I'm not worried now. I didn't know they were a carrier for life, that means even if it isn't showing signs, or in the stool it could show up at a later time. Or pass it on to the pups if it's a female. After reading, it makes sense. I wouldn't worry to much about it. If you did decide to breed her in the future, just treat the pups. Maybe daisy got it from her mother, maybe that's why the breeder didn't know. Her mother carried it on to her pups. That's probably how Piper got it, since she was the only one sick.
