Its been hard to get a committment on a pick up date from the couple, they seemed to have alot going on, and I have made all the calls. Im used to people calling and asking about their puppy but they never have.
Finally I contacted them and told we needed to set up her going home date and they called back two days later, I was already thinking I wanted to not release to them. But they called earlier this week and set up to come today no later then noon they told me. Its about a 4-4 1/2 hr drive for them. I called at 11 am today to see where they were and they hadnt even left yet. They said they would be leaving within the hour they were waiting for a phone call. I wasnt real happy about any of it but I said okay. They had never even bothered to call and say they would be running late. Well at 3 pm I called to see how far in route they were and they still were at home!!!!!!
I was told "they were shorted on a paycheck and the boss and hadnt called back" They never even called me again! I asked them what they had bought so far to prepare for the puppy and they hadnt even bought dogfood!I told them to forget it today I had other things to do, Ill call later. They said dont sell the dog to anyone else, we will call next week with some plans.......??????? I just said we will talk about it later and hung up.
Im not going to let my babygirl go with them. I wouldnt be able to sleep at night, I just have a terrible feeling about it, after today it sealed it for me for sure.
Should I keep a portion of their deposit or should I just return the whole thing and be happy I didnt send my puppy there. Im the one who has changed my mind. |
If they havent even bought food for the baby, they probably havent bought anything for her. I'm pretty sure they have have enough time to prepare for the "big day" ... to put up a "puppy nursery" i'm sure anyone of us, live to the day we can bring them home, and have everything set out for them.
I would NOT let her go to them, give them their deposit back, for your own peace of mind.
If i were you, i wouldnt even bother to call them, just send the check back to them, and be done.
Good luck.
