| Home & Garden Show in OK Would Not Allow Dogs
I would love to hear everyone's thoughts. My husband and I have been going for years to the Home and Garden Show in Oklahoma. We have taken our Yorkies with us in the past. Our girls are small (2.5 lbs & 3.5 lbs). Both are carried and their paws never touch the floor. We were told yesterday that they would not be allowed into the exhibits. We would never leave our girls in the car, so it meant driving all the way back home. I have written a letter that I want to send to the Home and Garden Show folks and my husband thinks it is a waste of time. In the letter I wrote that I could make the same remarks about messes, noises, etc. that kids create (& we have 4 now grown kids) and that there are many liability issues that do not involve pets. I even told them that I could have smuggled both girls into the show in an enclosed doggie purse or in their enclosed stroller. Do you all agree with my husband. Should I just drop the issue or should I send the email? We have lots of places here in Oklahoma that we can take our dogs and I just don't know why it is an issue some places, but not everywhere. |
