Yes, you have to be a member at costco. I'm a member of both sams and costco and I prefer costco. I think they have a better selection of things and better quality than sams. The only reason I even belong to sams is because it's 10 minutes from where I live. The nearest costco is about 30-40 minutes. BUT another costco is being built closer and will be open in the spring.
