Hello and welcome to Y/T. I got so excited to hear from someone who has a Cairn terrier. We lost our Cairn Trixie about 7 months ago. She was 16 yrs old. You never knew she was as old as she was (other than her graying hair). She was the most intelligent, loyal & loving friend. It still breaks my heart to even talk about her. We adopted her from my mother when my great aunt passed away. She was only about a year old. We got Reesie our oldest yorkie before we knew that Trixie was sick. Even as old as she was she took Reesie in and protected her. We now have extended our family and have Abbie who will be 5 months Feb 5th. I'll have to say that they had alot to live up to, and we have had our challenges, but they are sooooo precious and loving.
