[Mommy of Brandi]

I'm curious about something and maybe someone can help me out.....I got Brandi as a gift, her parents belong to my son's best friend. Their daddy has papers on both of them, but never AKC registered them. I offered to register his two dogs and the litter Brandi came from (since he had given me Brandi).....but he never gave me the papers. I'm planning on spaying Brandi. She is my baby, my pet, the love of my life, and honestly I don't care if she's AKC registered or not. I love her no matter what. Does it matter if she's not registered?
