Lepto isn't always given because of the risk of an adverse reaction (if I'm not mistaken, lepto is responsible for more reactions than any other shot) and because it doesn't offer much protection (there are many strains of lepto and the vaccine only covers for a few)..... Is lepto a concern in your area? If the vet has seen cases of it lately that could be why they're recommending it.

The DHLPP is a combo vaccine that contains Distemper, Hepatitis, Lepto, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus. If you don't want to give lepto then they shouldn't be using this shot.....
Lyme is given in areas where it's a concern. If you have no contact with ticks you probably wouldn't have to worry about it, but I would discuss it with your vet.

If it were me, I would ask if the vet would titer instead of automatically vaccinating.... A titer test should tell the vet the antibody levels in your pup's blood. If he has adequate protection he would probably be okay not getting a "booster".... Is he still sick? If his immunity has been down I would try to put off any vaccines until he's back up to par. Vaccinations can be hard on a dog's system and getting them when they're already sick can just create more problems.
