I have never headr of a dog getting tonsilitis. HOwever, I myself Have tonsilitis several times a year. Your vet is right not to give him antibiotics but if the problem does not cease, suggest to switch to a different antibiotic so that she does not get immune to the antibiotic.

Sorry that your baby isn't feeling well, whenever my tonsils flare, I am in soooo much pain but dogs have much higher tolerance than humans!!
