[Higgin's Dad]

My son owns "Princess", the long-haired Chihuahua who is the LOVE of Higgin's life. They adore each other and we take care of Princess when they are away. We have agreed to take Princess if something should happen to them.

And they have agreed to take Higgins and keep him forever if something happens to us. Of course the said they might have to kill us to get him sooner.........lol......

On a more serious note, arranging for your animals should something happen to you is SOOOOOOO important. When I was active in the English Setter Club, we rescued a dog that had belonged to an elderly man who lived out in the country. He had been unable to care for her for several weeks and no one knew that he needed help. He died quietly in his sleep and was not discovered for several days! That dog was the SWEETEST and we found a wonderful home for her.......but please.....be sure people know about your animals and your wishes for them.
