Thanks everyone for your opinions...Although, no one has yet been able to answer my original question...
However, the seller just answered me:
I understand what you are saying, and how it might seem that there is something wrong with it. That is normal for the iron though. You will notice that the plates have a little bit of play in them, and that is so you can really clamp hard on the hair, yet the pressure will be evenly distributed on the plates.
So, I guess it is normal! But, Like I said, I have nothing to compare it to.
Anyone?????
