How is the recovery efforts going on the panhandle area? On the New Orleans news a few weeks ago, they were showing that some areas are still as devastated as they were after Hurricane Ivan plowed through the area.
If I'm not mistaken (and I might be), Gulf Shores didn't take a hit like the panhandle did.
My husband's offshore platform that he works on took the eye of the storm. It was completed devastated. Within the last month, the platform has finally resumed operations. His platform is south of Mobile Bay area.
