Saturday morning after puppy class I was browsing the aisles of PetSmart. Sophie was on her leash and was sniffing the floor around me. Some other customers walked by with a big, big dog on a leash. Sophie turned around and tried to get close enough to sniff, but the BIG dog seemed afraid of Sophie. I picked Sophie up so that she wouldn't scare the *80 lb dog*
and then the owner said to her dog, "Go get her, ____" I don't remember the name of the dog.
I was appalled! No pet owner should ever encourage their pet to 'get'/attack another dog! I looked at my son and said "Ignorant people should have the privilege of raising pets" and continued my browsing.
I hope they got the message. I'm sure they were embarassed that their dog was afraid of a teeny Yorkie, but they handled it very badly.
