I have found that my picky yorkie eats dry food (Royal Canin) much better when I mix some homemade dog food in with it.
I make hers by using small amount of chicken or beef and a little bit of steamed rice, all mashed together. I put 2 tb of her dry food and about 1/2 tb of the "real" food. She will wolf it down, whereas with the dry alone, she'll often not finish even the two tb.
To the poster who mentioned the gravy...who makes that?
