Another thing you can get to thin the mucous and break up those phlem blocks -- NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) --a natural expectorant, and Olive Leaf extract (a natural anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant+). I had a congestion problem that just seemed to hang on and on -- and this is the only thing that broke it up. I had tried all sorts of medicines, both rx and OTC but it was the health food store's recommendation that did the trick. Something to consider if traditional meds don't work for you. |
Thank you for this information. I was sick the entire month of Dec and part of Jan with a really severe chest congestion. The doctor told me to double the dose of musinex (2 in morn, 2 in the evening) and it took a whole month to start breaking up. It was getting pretty scary because I had a hard time taking a deep breath. I had several Dr. visits. I was taking a bunch of other stuff too. I was beginning to think I would never get over this. NEXT TIME, I am going to try this!
