What an earlier post suggested was testing for diabetes insipidus -- not just diabetes. They are much different. Where diabetes is sugar imbalance, diabetes insipidus is a water imbalance (caused by a lack of anti-diuretic hormone ADH).

It is normal for a little puppy to seem to go every 5-10 minutes but at 7 months it should be calming down to every couple of hours. So, I would probably want another vet's opinion. You said he was on antibiotics -- did they find evidence of infection or just give them to him? If there was infection, then possibly after a few more days of antibiotics you will see improvement.
