Medical insurance does not cover breeding incidents. It is also not a program that pays the vet. Rather you still pay and submit the claim to the company. If it is a covered service, they reimburse you...

Like I said before, the emergency vet that was closest to me (and very highly recommended) did not begin surgery on my dog until I had all the cash (over $2,000) upfront.
