Congrats on your decision to quit smoking. I did that first, before I quit caffeine (a year later). Quitting too many things all at once may set you up for failure, so one thing at a time please! Many people in my support group recommended Carr's book. I wish you the best. I can tell you from experience that the first three weeks are HE--, the first 6 months are some better. It gets better with time. It takes about a year to start feeling like a non-smoker.
I strongly suggest you join an online support group. It will really help you get through those moments when you want nothing more than to be a slave to Nic (Nicodemon). I am a member of

I have been quit for 1 Year, 4 Months, 1 Day, 17 hours, 52 minutes and 31 seconds (488 days). I have saved $1,744.81 by not smoking 5,864 cigarettes. I have saved 2 Weeks, 6 Days, 8 hours and 40 minutes of my life. I could never have achieved these stats without the help of my support group.
I hope to see you post similar stats here in a year or so! PM me if I can be of any help to you.
