Muffin is 6.5 pounds & I bought the "newborn" onesies for her...she just had her second major surgery. They really are a good alternative if your furbaby is like mine & hates the E-collar! It is incredibly important to keep them away from the stitches. They itch, scratch & irritate them, but they need to leave them alone. I'm putting a Onesie on Muffin overnight & leaving them off during the day when I can keep a close eye on her. You'll sort of figure out a routine as it goes along. More than likely it will be more upsetting for you than it is for them!
Muffin acts like nothing has happened & can't figure out why I'm following her around everywhere!
