Over the last week or so Ferdinand has turned into a horrible dog. He used to be very well-behaved and now he's horrible. He no longer comes when I call him, he doesn't listen when I say "NO!", the progress we had made with potty training has totally gone out the door, he barks nonstop, and whines all night in his crate and keeps me awake
Just when I started to think a lightbulb had come on in his head about potty training (he would stand by the door and scratch to go out), we went completely back to ground zero. I'll take him out and say "go potty" (he used to go right away), and he'll walk around for 10 or 15 minutes - or even 30 - then come back inside and go on the floor

It's VERY frustrating.
The barking.... OMG, it's nonstop. Sometimes it makes me want to pull my hair out! I love the little guy to death, but I just can't take it anymore! I've tried everything to get it to stop with no luck.
Oh, and the crate thing. He used to sleep in his crate in the laundry room at the other side of the house. He would bark for 10 minutes or so, but then be quiet for the rest of the night. A friend of ours told us to bring him in to our room that he would be happier there and wouldn't bark at all. So I did. The first two weeks were great, we would get up in the middle of the night to go potty once, then quiety go back to sleep in his crate. However, now when he wakes up his one time to go potty, he whines and does what I call "talks" until I take him back out. He's relentless too. I tried to ignore him the first few nights and he'll whine until the morning when I get up, so I get no sleep.
I don't know what to do anymore. Also, at 8 months should he be able to hold his potty until the morning? I take his water away 2 hours before bedtime.
Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! I just don't know what to do anymore.........
PS, sorry for the very long post.
