Canidae is. Life's Abundance is not.
They didn't review every single food, so they also gave criteria for evaluating the ingredients.
-High-quality animal protein (and lots of it)
-Whole grains and veggies - and they specifically said they are OK with one grain "fragment" or whatever but don't like several (I call these fillers)
-No meat or poultry by-products
-No foods with meat not specified by species (like "animal" fat, "meat" meal)
-No artificial colors, flavors, preservatives
-No added sweeteners
-And they like Organic.
If it's a big name food that's not on the list, there is probably a reason.
There is a very interesting article with the list. Anyone who is more than casually interested might really want to spend the $20 for the year's subscription. I love this magazine. I even send a subscription to my local library. |
