I have been both routes. Years ago we introduced our Chow puppy to our Cocker. The chow thought the cocker was his mama. Wasn't too long before the chow was a BIG BOY. By that time the cocker didn't care. Now we have Maggie. Our other dogs are Heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs). Our female heeler hates everybody and everything except us. The day we brought Maggie home, we were very nervous. Now our mouths fall open daily. Our female heeler, thinks that Maggie is her pup. Pepper has never in her life had a litter or even a heat cycle. She will even bring Maggie toys to play with. I'm still shocked. Miracles never cease.
