I personally think taking a deposit on a puppy that is only a few days old is a mistake. I think that a deposit should not be placed on any puppy until they are over 6 weeks old and have been properly vet checked. At this young of an age you have no idea if there are going to be any health issues with the puppies. Like a heart murmer, LP, liver shunt or liver issues, etc. No puppy leaves my home without proper vet checks, full work-up that includes a complete blood profile.
