Really, all we can do is watch them with eagle eyes when they visit someplace different. Or, use belly bands as was suggested.

I believe this also. Every house every room every piece of furniture is an entirely different place to them.
I also wonder if this is why yorkies and many small breeds are difficult to house break, since they are so small every room is a different world to them.
