Welcome to YT and congratulations on your new Yorkie. Sissy is my first Yorkie and she is now 17 months old. She will be getting a little sister very soon - that is how in love with Yorkies I am!!

How old is your baby? Are you yet familiar with the common problems that can arise in a puppy - like hypoglycemia? Make sure you have Nutrical on hand for that. Canned pumpkin (without spices) is good to give them for an upset tummy, keep Pedialyte (non-flavored) on hand in case of diarrhea - to keep them hydrated. Read all you can about dog food ingredients and make sure you are giving your pup the healthiest you can. If you change foods, you need to do so gradually so as not to cause tummy problem.

Oh, there is just so much more. Keep up with this forum and you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know. Be forewarned we talk about everything from the color of their poop, how many times a day they poop, what might be in their poop - as well as tons of other stuff!!

Oh - and learn how to post photos cause we need to see your new pup!!
