To answer your question, Teri, they DO NOT taste like dry roasted or fried or smoked peanuts, they taste like boiled peanuts. They have a very distinctive flavor that is beyond description..... Oh man alive -- you pop the hot peanut in your mouth savor the salty flavor of the shell and use your teeth to punch open the shell, roll the peanut around in your mouth and tease the nuts out with your tounge. Eating a boiled peanut the "right" way is very sensual. Can I say that?
