I'm so sorry about Chuey
Poor little guys sounds like he's trying to be brave for you. If you can go visit him I would. He needs to see Mommy as much as possible, but I'll bet he's being loved on at the vet's, too.
When Lucy was spayed and stayed overnight, the staff fell in love with her and loved on her constantly and I'll bet that's what's happening with Chuey too.
