goldcupmom - Where did you find a small enough harness?? Do you remember how much it was?
Hannah - I have a few comments on some of your questions.
I live in Maryland and we had our first snow and ice 3 nights ago. I took Hercules outside to go to the bathroom without a coat and he seemed ok. After he played in the snow though, of course.
About the bed, we don't let him sleep in bed with us, but he has been on the bed before, and he's pretty hyper. One night we were laying there, and he was pouncing around like usual. Then all of sudden, he pounced right off the bed! Luckily we have a bed that's pretty low the ground, but it still scared me to death! We don't lay on the bed with him very much anymore.
About the nipping, Hercules is very bitey too when he plays. Usually we just shove a toy in his mouth instead of our fingers, clothes, etc. If this doesn't work and he's too crazy, I will walk away and leave him confined to a certain area. But not his crate. You shouldn't punish him, because he isn't doing anything wrong, he's just playing. But by walking away, it might be able to calm him down.
Good luck, I know there are soo many things to worry about with these guys, but it's completely worth it when you look into their cute little faces!!
