Yes, the rescue shelters are full of them, something that in the past never happened. Labs need a lot of exercise, much more than the average person wants to give. Early consistent training is also important when someone has a large dog. It's imperative that a large dog knows that the human is in charge. A lab pup is adorable, but when it reality sets in; it's off to the pound for many.
