When I take a deposit, it means you will get a puppy if you want one...but it will be the one or ones I do not want...then I go to the first person waiting or who has a deposit down..if they do not see anything they want, then the money is returned..nothing lost...and I go to the next person waiting.

I will never promise any ceratin puppy to anyone one person under 8 weeks...then they wait another 4 weeks to pick the pup up.

I have had people pick a pup at 8 weeks and then at 12 decide they liked another better..fine, if that pup is not promised they may switch. I never show people the pups that are not for sale to that person. (meaning, I never show you a pup that another has a deposit on or one I am keeping)..it makes for a shorter day and people sometimes decide they want a pup that may not be right for them IMO...so they see what I think is best for them..they are free to go else where if it does not suit them...I have been shown only the pups they breeder wanted to sell to me and not the entire kennel..take it or leave it..I was curious, but that is the breeders way of doing it..mine also. Most show another breeder the litter so they can see litter quality, but ceratinly not all.

When I was grooming sometimes people would take a look at my pups and see one they had to have...fine, if it is one I do not want or have promised...I always tell people, if the first buyer backs out they may be second or whatever...

When it all gets to be too much fuss..I tell people nothing is for sale and wait a few more days for a whole new batch of callers..LOL

Seriously, Yorkies are so popular, I have never found it hard to sell anything of any age or sex, size or color...so I never keep a deposit or insist someone take a pup if they are having second or third thoughts..works well for my peace of mind.
