We changed Gage's name after we rescued him. The person we got him from had named him Lil' Man and although he was small then (he was NOT taken care of and was, among other things, malnourished) he is a healthy 9 pounds now (doesn't look it though). The idiot said they even called him dummy
because he would not listen to them - evidently, he missed his heaping dose of patience when he was younger!!! Anyway, after we had him for a couple weeks, we decided on Gage as a name for him. We just kept calling him by his new name and one day it "clicked" that HE was Gage...LOL!! We did use Lil' Man in a pinch but really focused on the name we gave him.
