AS you know Lacy had her puppies yesterday. The first puppy took a while to be born (butt first) I help pull the puppy out, and she is ok. Lacy waited about 2.5 hrs. before puppy number started to be born. She was head first and came fairly quickly. (about 5 minutes) but was not breathing. We gave puppy brisk rub down and cpr for about 15 minutes, but puppy didn't make it. Now I feel I should have done something else or failed to do the right thing. Puppy was about same size as puppy #1 and was moving before it was born. Any suggestions? Should I have removed membrane from puppy as it was being born?
