Just my opinion. I think it is wayyyyyyyy to early to take deposits. i don't even think about deposits until at least six weeks. You have to know that the puppy is healthy and is doing okay. Anything could happen. I paid a three hundred dollar non refundable deposit on a show puppy Thursday that is eight weeks old and i had to talk the breeder into it. he wanted to wait till ten weeks. It is eight weeks now. Since I had traveled from another state, he finally agreed to take my deposit.
