It is not so cut and dry when it comes to genetics and breeding dogs. There are prepotent studs who reproduce themselves over and over, a real jewel to own and I have had a few studs who did this...you can also get a "nick"..a dog who is super superior to his sire and dam. You have to look at the entire line and not a couple of dogs when making these calls
An oversized male will produce himself no matter the size of his parents many times over..there are NO 100% guarantees in breeding.
