Nigerian Scams/ Kennel Cough/Supermarket Diet I've been searching for a dog for about 3+ months now
I want a Yorkshire but cant afford the high prices
in NJ for them. I've seen them from $1,200-$8,000
So I checked the local shelter and decided on a dog
that wasnt a yorkshire. I sent this woman supplies
for my dog and everything. But she ended up adopting
it out to someone else.
I get on the internet and look for Yorkshire's around
where I live. And thats where two people try to scam
me from Africa.
(The ad said they were living in NJ but they said they were
away on a vet conference in Africa)
Buying a dog from Africa seemed a little
crazy and there was no way that I was using Western Union
I sent them a message saying "If you dont have good enough
doctors for people then you dont have good enough doctors
for my dog"
That was the end of that and I never heard from them again. My
boyfriend knew that I was bummed so he looked on the internet
and suprised me with a dog that he purchased.
I had pretty much given up on getting a dog. And am kind of nervous
about buying a dog off the internet. I hope that everything goes well.
Im getting him the day before Valentines day. My biggest fear after reading
post after post (not here) is him getting Kennel Cough. I was wondering if
anyone has used natural remedies for kennel cough.
I found a natural remedy online
1tablet garlic
1 tablet vitamin C (250 mg for tiny dogs)
1 capsule of echinacea
Also I read the forum about dogs having too much protein in
their food. I found an organic dog food: no corn, no bull ingredients
and the puppy food has 30% protein, but I was going to put him on
one that has 28% protein then after a year I guess switch him to
the same brand family but one that has 22% protein.
Thank god for this site because I was going to put him on
beneful I dont know if it was the fancy packaging that caught
my eye with the veggies floating all over it but I do know that
supermarket food is not healthy.
My dog is a Shorkie (shih zu/yorkie) his name is going to be
Kobayashi Chestnut after the japanese competitive eater and the
american competitive eater that almost beat him last year.
but I will call him "Kobe" for short
*Hopefully his picture shows up as my icon
