I understand that everyone gives their dog flea and tick meds? But what about Heartworms? When i went to the vet for the first time and asked what she should be on he said flea and ticks meds but nothing else? was that becasue she was young? She is 8.5 months, is this still too young? Or do you guys always give it?
If so, what do you use?
I have been reading a lot about them on sites liek PetEdge and other retailers that say its necessary, but at this point, this is the only site i trust for advice!!
