She is just adjusting to her new home. Remember, everything she knew and felt comfortable with in her whole existence changed when you brought her into your home.
It sounds like your Sassy ADORES you and just wants to be sure that you don't go away like those other people did. In time she will get more accustomed to her home and will feel secure enough to find a nice cozy place to snooze while you are moving about.
