Nail polish does not seem to bother dogs, years ago we used to always paint dogs nails. I am not sure it is worth it to try and paint yorkies nails with all the hair there, I think it would be a big mess. But if you have a big desire to do something like this you could use a nylon over the foot so the nails stick out and polish and let dry. Seems like way to much work for me. Painting short hair dogs and poodles is much easier. Any polish seems fine and I have use all kinds, but a fast drying one would be best.
