Hey everyone-
Thanks so much for your concern! I just got back from the animal hospital and Ralfie seems to be doing much better. The vet ran all kinds of tests and couldn't figure out anything wrong, and she thinks he ate something he shouldn't have off the floor. She kept him there for a couple hours to monitor and he slowly started to perk up, and eventually ate & drank. Pretty soon he started returning to his usual hyper self and she decided he was ready to come home.
I'm pretty sure she's right: as soon as I got home I searched around on the floor and saw two small pieces of Buncha Crunch (or whatever the name of that candy is) under the sofa... and they look alot like his dog food! Can't really blame him for trying one but I feel so bad he got sick. I'm just relieved it wasn't worse because chocolate is just awful for dogs, & esp him because he's so young! Not sure who the messy culprit is, but as he seems ok now all is well. I'm still going to monitor him closely for the rest of the night, but I hope its over. Ralfie says thanks too everyone (and me too haha)!
